Apart from adindi.co.uk, my construction and nightclub businesses, I also work as a Driver Training Consultant for a large international company based in the UK (now you know why I need 30/8 as opposed to 24/7!).
This company, who deal with over 30,000 client companies, have recently entered the Fleet driver training (hence my being their Driver Training Consultant!) market with an innovate approach to assessing and managing those high risk company car/van/coach drivers ...
So what has this to do with you? ...
Well, this large international company has just been awarded a massive Fleet contract (their first stab at a Fleet tender and they got the contract - not bad for a beginner - and they went head to head with two of the most well known Fleet training companies too!!) - most of the training will be classroom based workshops ... however.... now this is where it gets interesting; the company awarding the contract has really bought into the notion of risk awareness amongst its drivers (both company car and private driving) and to this end want to offer fleet practical sessions to those who are deemed as low and medium risk...
Plus...
All new employees who are taken on with less than 2 years driving experience will be required to take a Pass Plus course, paid for by the company...
As there is an link between their Driver Training Consultant (yours truly) and adindi.co.uk; we have been approached as they would like to use adindi.co.uk to provide a national network of local instructors to deliver both the Fleet practical sessions and the Pass Plus courses.....(all concerned feel the synergies between us will enhance and streamline the processes).
For adindi.co.uk to get involved in this, I need to find out first just how many instructors would be interested in increasing their work load ...
adindi.co.uk will amend it's registration process (this will be activated on Friday 8 Nov) to include logging these qualifications - if you are interested in becoming involved in this venture, please update your details to include your qualifications ...
I will keep you informed on progress and when this venture will potentially commence....

Hey Rod and Happy New Year to you...
Thanks for your interest in this subject; consider yourself on the Pass Plus list , plus your LGV and PSV may well come in handy later in the year!
Please make sure that once you have your Fleet qualification, you update your personal profile on the site to ensure we include you on that list too
hi tina,
i am very interested in getting involved, i am pass plus registered but not fleet.....would that matter? not sure what you have to do to be fleet registered, i will look into it..based in norwich is that any good??

Hi Ben and a Happy New Year to you ...
Doesn't matter if your not Fleet trained, Pass Plus is a stand alone product in itself and we'll ensure you are on that list.
To become a Fleet trained instructor you either have to apply to take the exams [similar to Part 1, 2 and 3 ADI qualification] through the DSA or find an organisation who is DSA Fleet accredited; they will train you and as accredited by DSA, you'll not have to take the exams as the accredited course is sufficient to become registered; once qualified, ensure you update your profile on the adindi.co.uk website and you'll automatically be added to the list of Fleet instructors.
Hope this helps
